This event will serve to reaffirm the University's mission of "excellence in teaching, inspired by sound scholarship" by acknowledging the academic achievements of the class of 2008 and its associated faculty. Graduates who have earned Latin honors, faculty promoted in academic rank or awarded tenure and all faculty awarded emeritus status during the 07-08 academic year will be honored.
Honors recipients and their families are invited to attend. Latin honors recipients will receive invitations at Commencement rehearsal on Thursday, May 15.
Umoja Reception for Students of Color
2 p.m.
Board Room - David Student Union
The Office of Multicultural Affairs (new window) invites all graduating students of color and their families to a reception honoring their achievements. Join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of these graduates and bestow their kente stole (if ordered).

In honor of the class of 2008, CNU will hold a candlelight ceremony at sunset on the eve of Commencement services. The ceremony will commemorate the transition of the graduates to alumni of the University. Graduates and their families are invited to attend.
